According to Article 48(2) of the Excise Law of the Republic of Lithuania, business customers using green electricity may be exempt from the excise duty on electricity.

Green energy statistics in Lithuania

From December 2024 to November 2025, green energy consumption reached 2,057,675 MWh, while CO₂ savings totaled 959,616 tons.

For comparison, in 2023, green energy consumption was 1,179,644 MWh, with CO₂ savings of 687,909 tons.

This means that green energy consumption increased by nearly 74%, and CO₂ savings grew by around 39%.
